The birth of the advanced RYT takes 9 months:

This advanced training includes Techniques for Training and Practice, Teaching Methodology, Anatomy and Physiology, Yoga Philsophy, Lifestyle and Ethics, and Practicums.
We read and discuss the great texts and commentaries including Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Upanishads, Tantric Yoga, and the Gheranda Samita with selected commentaries as well as in depth of the Yoga Sutras.
Teaching practice within class setting and opportunities for volunteer teaching as community service
And of course, continued practice and teaching asanas, pranayama, mudras, with creative and multi-disciplinary approaches to learning and growing.
YogaNow Teaching Training Apprentice Program Tuition, Nine Month Program, January—September 2008: $2700 (plus tax) includes monthly intensives and consults
