Meta's Message

The new year approaches so quickly, it seems hard to believe that 2006 is near. The YogaNow 2006 calendar arrives at the studios tomorrow and we hope you’ll accept these full color (now that’s progress) calendars as a token of abiding gratitude for your support and participation in our community.

Perhaps you are interested in deepening your knowledge and body wisdom of yoga and would like to follow that yearning…consider the YogaNow Teaching Training Apprentice Program…you don’t have to want to be a teacher, just a sincere and hearty appetite for learning and growth in yoga.  The next session begins in February.  More information is on the web and you can always call and chat!

May the beginning of December be sweet and the approaching New Year be invigorating!

In peace,

With smiles,

Meta.

(Namaste in devanagari script-“I bow to you.”)

Teacher Highlight

Barbara
Barbara is a master who has been studying and teaching yoga most of her life. She has studied extensively with many of yoga’s finest teachers and a wide variety of techniques and styles and is an Anusara affiliated teacher. Barbara brings to her teaching her joy, enthusiasm, love of yoga, and a great sense of humor. Her gentle guidance and knowledge of yoga therapeutics are a blessing for those who may be physically challenged. As a student recently said,

“Barbara creates an atmosphere of challenge without competition or judgment. She adjusts to individual needs in a way that helps everyone feel the pose more deeply. Practicing yoga with Barbara is a joy."

Barbara approaches yoga with a beginner’s mind and thus is always eager to increase her knowledge of yoga, both physically and philosophically. She continues to attend workshops whenever possible. In her classes, retreats, and workshops Barbara has had the opportunity teach students of all ages and levels of yoga experience.
