Yoga Poetry
Yoga student Claudia Reiter was inspired and
energized after the Gong Bath and was moved to
write this:
Bathed in the song of the gong I know
that I have many years to live, a new
life etched in circular sound, exploding
hexagonal stars, and a reluctant pain deep in
my shoulders.
It is faith that brings us
together, our karma, the gong priest
said, to be members of a one time
sangha in which the will to heal may be
born in the sound that is all sounds, the
sound that goes on forever.
One more chance to live in a state of
grace, brought back to my true self by the
memory of chanting, the sweet high voice in
the dark hall, the earthy call of chorus and
drum inviting me to follow them
home.

Did You Know?
Daylight Savings Time is coming Sunday 2 am…and next year the change will be changed:
On August 8, 2005, President George W. Bush
signed the Energy Policy Act of 2005. This Act
changed the time change dates in the U.S.
Beginning in 2007, DST will begin on the second
Sunday of March, and end the first Sunday of
November.
Ahhhh. Change. The only constant.
Teacher Highlight
Cheri Cheri is a
physical therapist who has been studying yoga
since 1995 and teaching since 2000. She has studied with
many Iyengar and Anusara teachers and prefers to teach
a style of yoga which emphasizes proper alignment
and body awareness. Armed with a sense of humor
and her background as a physical therapist, she
encourages each student to seek their physical,
emotional and spiritual limits. Integrating a yoga practice into everyday life is another one of her personal interests. She was featured in Yoga Journal for teaching yoga to the Deaf using sign language.

Meta's Message
As we begin to settle into
the winter and coming holiday season, may I
suggest the workshop with Betheyla and Chitra (you can attend just Saturday if Sunday is busy) to prepare for a grounded and nourishing winter.
The young man knows the rules, but the old
man knows the exceptions. -Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr.

(Namaste in devanagari
