Did You Know?
BKS Iyengar has been in the states attending the Yoga Journal conference in Estes Park, CO and doing the book tour and teaching around the country. Here are a few of the words of this master of yoga: (notes taken from a presentation heard on the web)
We study Patanjali who guided us all to
practice…I may be senior teacher … I also am a
student of yoga, we are all equals.
Yoga will guide you in such a way that
gives you the clues to yourself. Svadyaya –
self study in the sadhana [practice] so that your
life may transform into a different
angle.
Transformation should also be in our
practice.
Yoga fire – yoga lifts the body to light of
the soul ..so light of soul and body are
together…light of self and light of soul are not
different.
Don’t be carried away by words…be honest
with yourself…be with yourself…what is weather of
my mind today? Asana helps us understand.

Teacher Highlight
Jimmy
Cardinale Jimmy served in the Marine
Corps in the late 60s where he was first
introduced to Eastern Philosophy (he has been a
student ever since). Later the study of yoga and
asana practice lead to the teaching of Ashtanga
yoga. Share his contagious passion for this
practice. The Primary Series Posture sequence is strictly adhered to with variations taught so many levels may participate. Classes are laced with much with philosophical commentary, discussions on anatomy and posture related therapeutics.

Meta's Message
If you’ve never experienced a gong bath, let me invite you to a transformation that takes place lying down, breathing and drinking in vibration!
May we remember our great gifts, our incredible
resources of the inner and outer world, and do
what we can for the victims everywhere on the
planet who suffer.
May your weather carry you to happiness and
connection to others.
In peace, with smiles,

(Namaste in devanagari
script-“I bow to you.”)
Meta.
