Did You Know?
Local artists are
offering their wares at
YogaNow...we are lucky to
have two women bring unique and locally produced
items:
Betty Dore's notecards,
individually and boxed sets, here's just one
example to the
right.
Katie
Lopez brings her personally designed and
constructed yoga wear. Beautiful pants and
tops in fabric that moves for asana practice and
looks so lovely you can comfortably where them out
afterward.
Meta's Message

From the classical and revered Yoga
Sutras (threads of Yoga) attributed to
Patanjali:
Practice (abhyasa) and
non-attachment (vairagya) are the two core
principles on which the entire system of Yoga
rests. It is through the cultivation of
these two that the other practices evolve, by
which mastery over the mind field occurs, and
allows the realization of the true
Self.
The quote in the subject line from
Aristotle struck me as being so closely related to
the lines above from the sutras. What we do,
what we practice, we become. What we think,
what we focus on, gets bigger. Partly what I
like about these ideas are the way
we can create, cultivate what we
desire, who we want to become...Our dreams, our
visions, our thoughts matter.
With great and glorious
dreams for us all, and as always deep gratitude
for you, the community of YogaNow,
Meta.

you.”) |

New Mexico’s largest multi-program provider of
services for the homeless. Founded in 1985 by
volunteers from local Episcopal churches, the
agency is now a private, nonsectarian 501(c)3
organization that partners with community,
municipal, state, and federal agencies in pursuit
of its mission: “to serve homeless and
near-homeless people by providing resources,
opportunities, and hope.”
For a week, October 28-November 4
please make a donation to SMHC and YogaNow will
match the group contribution. A basket
